And in Delaware law we do not need a front license plate.so my truck did not come with one.so i went to my local ford dealer and bought one. As you read this.I have installed the bracket and I have the plate in the bracket and i am trying to use those plastic rivets that come with the bracket to secure the plate to the bracket. But i can not get them to work.can someone please show me or tell me the correct way to get them to work?any info would be most helpful. THINK, before you punch holes in that bumper cover. They are unsightly if unfilled, after you remove the bracket.

I know of several in states that require front plates that do not want them on and have come up with some very creative ways to display front plate without punching holes for the front liscense bracket. Zip strips come in a great many colors now. I have seen folks fabricate brackets that attach from below the buper and extend either up or down to hold the plate, kind of an L bracket, there by preventing th hole being punched in the front of the bumper cover. I bought my truck at Sheridan Ford Wilmington Del. And when i spoke to the person at the dealership today.they came across like it was a special gun that only they would have.

They never said that i could do it myself.never said for me to go get a rivet gun and do it myself.they said to bring it in anytime this week so I said what about today since i had the day off because of the holiday.they said not today too busy but any other day this week.I like that fact you do not have to drill any holes for the bracket it just snaps in place. If i had to drill at all we would not be having this discussion. When I bought the factory oem ford front plastic lincense plate bracket. It came with 4 plastic rivets not screws. And I placed the bracket on the truck no problem.the only problem I have is. I placed the plate in the bracket and went to secure the plate to the bracket using the plastic rivets but could not get them in the holes in the backet.
